Personality : Raditz is a brutal warrior who has little difficulty in pulling out whatever stops he can to achieve his goal. His cruelty plays hand in hand with his excessive pride, making him particularly fierce when agitated enough. When pushed to his limit, he has a good chance of simply going berserk, to the point of a feral rampage. This penchant for rage was only made stronger once he neglected his past training in favor of simple destructive brutality. On his better days, he can be relatively even-tempered and sometimes sarcastic. This doesn't last long most of the time, his patience being quite thin, but he is usually prompt to cool down once the source of his aggravation is quieted down or removed (it doesn't matter how, though destroying it would make him quite happy). In death, his personal Hell is cold, dark and lonely, often cut off from contact with his fellows without warning and taunted incessantly. Despite feeling vengeful against his brother and Piccolo, he's come to accept that he hardly made the best choices in the past during his lonely stay and even feels somewhat remorseful for opportunities lost, though it would be a cold day in Hell before he openly said so. It's been observed that he has been developing more along his own route rather than the one beaten into him while slaving for Frieza. Due to this reluctant acceptance and his steadily changing attitude, he tries his best to behave to a degree while in Hell (better than most really), but he isn't one to pass an opportunity for some kind of escape should the chance arrive. In battle, Raditz uses his speed and power to it's fullest, though a lot of the times he starts off with letting his opponents have some faint chance at throwing what they have at him. But once he's enraged, just about all bets are off and he comes at them at full force. He isn't above making empty promises and trickery, especially if he winds up in a situation where death is very likely. Unlike most saiyajins, he is terrified of death and isn't above begging if it's necessary. |
Background : At a young age, he had shown a feeling for the energies of nature and had begun on the slow training regime for harnessing druidic power. However, when the saiyajins further expanded their army and the business of purging planets for sale steadily grew, he was pressured by his fellow peers (who left the training as well) and his parents to join the saiyajin army, which eventually became an extension of Frieza's. Due to early abandonment of his druidic training, Raditz only left with a small handful of skills at his disposal. On purging missions, his use of his animal form, a large, monstrous black wolf, was entirely forfeit. His abilities to use healing magic, albeit weak, stuck with him but only for a limited time as that too steadily fell to the wayside in favor of simple destruction. After their home planet's destruction, Raditz found himself in the company of the prince, Vegeta, and the bodyguard, Nappa. His stubborn, arrogant nature often put him at odds with Nappa, but he regarded the prince with utmost respect. His talent with druidic magic had served him well one last time on a mission, which he had been scoffed at by the more powerful saiyajins for not being much of a match for the inhabitants on his own. But the rebellious target planet's people had gotten their second wind and had pushed his cohorts Nappa and Vegeta to their own limits. He chided them for mockingly ordering him aside 'for his own good' once he helped them regain their health a little. It had been the last instance he used any druidic power and thankfully, to his knowledge, his cohorts were none the wiser. Some time later, they had come to realize that his brother, little Kakarot, was on Earth and would make a necessary addition to their team. He left soon after their discovery of this most fortunate news only to find his brother lacking knowledge of who he truly was and no desire to join him. During a play to force his brother into cooperation, he kidnapped his nephew while giving his brother an order to kill or lose his boy. A battle broke out later on that left both brothers dead. Upon arriving to Other World in death, Raditz had tried to fight with King Yemma and failed miserably. He was cast down to Hell, where he still currently resides, waiting for whatever fate may come. In the meantime, he occupied himself with several training opportunities, one of which included his attempts to reconnect with his forgotten training. He also spends the time mulling over his actions in the past, among other things. |
RP sample : Pain. That was all he was feeling at the moment. And severe annoyance. A tiny voice in the back of his head told him he should have done as Nappa had ordered and stayed back at the campsite. That wasn't to say that the skittering little buggers they were trying to clear out wouldn't have found their way there at some point, but it was a hell of a lot better than having a massive saiyajin twice his size get tossed into him like the galaxy's biggest ragdoll. While he wanted to figure out why the bubble-headed tyrant insisted on giving them increasingly harder planets to clear, he decided getting Nappa's cumbersome body off of him needed his attention more. With a low growl, the maned saiyajin kicked the older warrior off so that he could get to his feet. Once off the ground, he caught sight of Vegeta who was blasting away. He looked to be in okay shape though judging from the near frantic speed he was firing those ki blasts, he was probably starting to sweat the challenge a little. He turned from watching the prince waylaying the opposition to look Nappa over. The far from gentle giant looked pretty roughed up. Raditz sighed. Whatever pools he had been pulling the energy to use his healing spells, they were almost completely dry now and he figured these would be the last few he would ever use. One for Nappa, one for Vegeta. He was relieved neither of his companions knew, otherwise he would get neverending hell for letting his reserves dry up. They wouldn't understand that nature didn't exactly approve of what they did. He would hear some nonsense about being the masters of nature, so on and so forth. Making sure Nappa wasn't watching him after a brief glance at Vegeta, the maned saiyajin knelt down and held his hands out to his wounded ally. There was a faint, barely noticable green glow around his hands as he channeled the magic and slowly Nappa's wounds began to mend. When the larger warrior began to stir and rise, Raditz retreated back quickly to avoid being caught, though he was unaware of the suspicious black eyes boring into him from a distance. |
