He knew it was dangerous to piss her off like this. She had already shown that it was no problem for her to enter unseen to his dreams. But he knew what she 'felt' like now. And he knew she would be there now.
If she thinks that this is going to be easy on her, she has another thing coming.
He wasn't a fool. If she was a demoness specializing in dreams, then he had just made himself an enemy that was going to stop him from getting a good night's sleep for as long as he could.
I'll figure out a way around it.
The blond priest just kept his gaze on her, still infuriatingly calm, still not giving her the reactions she wanted. Even the name that she dropped like a bombshell didn't even ripple across his surface, though he went cold inside.
That son of a bitch... He's helping her? Somehow that makes sense...
Just thinking about the supposed-Sanzo priest made his skin crawl. But he ignored it, those violet eyes staying on her, almost unnerving in his unblinking gaz-
SHIT!
The priest jerked awake, sitting up in his bed. Moonlight poured through the window near him as he took a deep breath, reaching up to touch his forhead instinctively before he ran his hand through his sweat-dampened locks. Slowly, he closed his eyes. Immediately the image of Koumyo Sanzo rose in his mind, sitting so calmly on the hill.
Only good thing about this night is that the dream didn't end like it usually did... And she dropped quite a bit of information.
He opened his eyes, frowning as he thought over it all. She was planning something with Gojyo.. If it hadn't been for the strange incident reeking of demonic energy in Shangri-La the other day, he would have looked to Goku first. Goku was sometimes a gold mine for those looking to cause trouble. But it had to be Gojyo. But what was she doing?
And Ukoku Sanzo...
A grimace tugged at his lips as he swung his legs out of his bed, reaching into one pocket for a pack of cigarettes. Pulling one out by his teeth, he pulled out his lighter and lit up, pocketting both after. Inhaling deeply, he rolled his neck and shoulders, scowling at the cieling.
Yeah, that wasn't all that great.
That demoness did have a point.. If she can get into dreams, Goku and Gojyo will have no chance. Depending on how strong she is, Hakkai might not have a chance either. Maybe it would be better to do this alone.. What the hell do I care what three floating heads say anyways? It might not be common knowledge in the temple, but Sanzo didn't believe in anything. Gods were the same to him as another fairy tale.
All he believed in was himself.
And I know I can handle myself... Wonder how mad that bitch will get when she can't find a dream to get into? Meditation was a wonderful thing, one that rested the body and mind without becoming unconscious. It might not be as good as sleeping, and he'd probably risk sleep occasionally anyways, but he wasn't about to go as low on rest as she thought.
He smirked at that thought.
If there's one thing that Koumyo Sanzo taught me... It's how to utterly infuriate people.
