While Selypa wasn't overly angry at herself or guilty in any sense for blowing her chances with Turles, she was rather annoyed with herself. She knew Turles would probably pull some stunt and yet she had walked right into it, and fucked over that chance. Still, she'd find another way, even if it meant breaking out of Hell and escaping on her own.
One eyebrow rose as Raditz called afte her, then jogged his way forward, his gaze on her as though she were some puzzle. The shorter saiyajin stopped, regarding him with her violet eyes. Her arms came up to cross over her armored chest again, rather impatiently. Selypa seriously had the urge to hunt down the members of the Ginyu Force and fuck them up again...
Raditz seemed to have a love of his voice, just a bit, as Selypa stood there, her tail waving behind her, only a little short of a lash. As he rambled on, however, he seemed to come to a conclusion that surprised her. After all, he had realized it without her saying a single word, unlike Turles.
That alone almost made her smirk. Raditz was smarter then Turles. Someone had done something right. However, the thought faded as her mood took a somber turn. No, not everyone had died on Meat...
"No. Most of us didn't. We were off planet." Selypa said quietly, watching as he raced through his thoughts, knowing what must be on his mind. Raditz wasn't as selfish as Turles. No, Raditz would want some of their race to be restored.
"Don't push it, Raditz." She retorted before an actual sigh escaped her, her eyes closing. "If you could get the entire team back, then you could have some steak bits. But you're only going to get four of us, not five."
Her eyes opened after a moment, fixing him with a rather serious look. "Bardock... was on Vegetasei. The rest of us were on a seperate mission..." For a moment, she seemed to hesitate before shaking her head. "You find a way to get Bardock back... and we'll talk about steak bits."
Selypa had been in a good mood at one point, but it was gone now. Silently, she stepped passed Raditz, her mood dark as she started walking again, looking to find the Ginyu Force, or anyone to beat the shit out of.

As she walked around and started to head off, he almost laughed. Almost. But he could tell from reading her, that she was not in the best of moods now and a chuckle might be misjudged as being something of a taunt. Raditz still had reservations, even to this day, as to whether Selypa could thoroughly kick his ass and he wasn't keen to find out. So the taller saiyajin simply watched her move on by, smirking broadly when he knew she wouldn't see it.
Wouldn't she be in for a surprise? And what was better, Kakarot would not be able to tell him no!
'I have to plan this just right...One screw up and it could get really messy, really fast...!' Raditz took a deep breath and exhaled. It felt like he had a bit of adrenaline rising in him. Yeah, this was going to take some major work but the rewards would be off the scale. The Tree would be one obstacle, the other would be winning trust over with his living relatives, at least enough to see if they would not permit bringing Bardock back. They didn't have to come to love him, just let him live. 'Okay, first things first...Time to come back to fucking life.'
Phase one of the plan in mind, the maned saiyajin rushed along to find another secure spot. This one was a little out of sight and a little closer to the ogres who had gotten a little antsy with how Turles and Selypa had started to fight. But once more, he was causing no sort of trouble as he parked himself on the ground with his legs crossed. Raditz folded his arms as he lowered his head, eyes closed as he tried to re-establish his concentration. Unlike the first time, which had been his initial and most difficult attempt, it felt easier to work up the manifestation on the other side. Thankfully it only took a fraction of the time now.
~+~
Slowly, the wispy form of the wolf pup materialized out in the Spinach Wastes and he looked around with his round, black eyes. He shook himself, bushy tail swinging. It seemed just a little bit later than he remembered, and he couldn't sense that presence that he had come across from before. He tried to remember if he had seen them or not, all he could recollect was the voice. Silently, he cursed the others once more for being the pests that they were.
"Well, here we go again."
Patting a paw on the ground, he sent the signal out again, letting it vibrate through the earth. Hopefully the creature that caught wind of it before was still listening for another contact, otherwise he was going to be stuck hunting again.

After waiting for the puppy to return for about fifteen minutes, Pepper had finally given up and sent her mind back to her body, just in time to witness Kakiri trying her hand at fighting Mr. Vegeta. Instead of taking the body back, Pepper contented herself with observing, grateful for the break and knowing that her turn would come soon enough.
And it came. After all, Kakiri was still of two minds (Not literally) about flying. She was stubbornly dead set on running, though she knew flying would have it's perks. Pepper, however, was finding it rather fascinating, even if it was disorientating.
After some time, Mr. Vegeta had decided it was time for her to practice flying. So she had concentrated, imagined her pumice stone (Which had the odd resemblance of a turkey) and had launched into the air. It was hard, as the air seemed to weigh like pure stone on her. Still, she fought it, struggling to build up speed and stay in the air.
Until, that is, the gong sounded. Instinctively, Pepper forced control on Kakiri, already sending her mind zipping across the lands, the astral projection appearing behind the wolf. Vaguely, she was aware of Kakiri swearing and crashing into the wall- again-, and completely ignored it.
"Puppy Radish! You're back!" Pepper squealed, clapping her astral hands. This time, her form was a bit better. Like him, it was easier the second time.

The black wolf pup, or Raditz rather, looked her up and down. She seemed sweet if not naive. She would do the trick perfectly. Provided she had a physical body on the other side of that astral projection. He hoped she wasn't another desceded spirit.
"Yes...The bad people pulled me away. They were fighting and stuff..."
Now was the time to act for his life. Literally. The small pup jumped up and down on his tiny feet a few time, exerting a friendly and playful nature. His short bushy tail, which was shaped much like how his hair was, wagged back and forth.
"I'm sure you've wondered why I was calling...I need your help. My brother killed me many years ago and all I want is to live again. I've tried to find some help for so long but with no luck. Would you be willing to help me come back to life?"
He sat down, his lower jaw trembling as he gave her the best puppy dog face he could manage. Part of Raditz wanted to throw up at the vision in his head but he maintained it, knowing he had to come off as innocent and sweet as possible to get this girl's help.
"If you are...I need you to come here to me. Physically, and retrieve my bone. So would you? Please? With sugar on top?"
It was all he could do not to vomit. Being sweet was definitely not for him...

Had it been Kakiri in this situation and not the idiot, this farce would never be believed. However, it was the innocent of the two halves there, and she was milking it up for all it was worth. Her hands came up to clasp together as her hazy mouth formed a wide 'O' of surprise.
"Oh you poor thing...!" Pepper gasped before reaching her hand up to scratch her head. Before she could ask where they were so she could beat them up, he spoke again, and she blinked, tilting her head. Bring.. him back to life...? Her green eyes blinked a few times.
"You.. just need me to come here? And get a bone? An' that'll bring you back to life?" She wasn't sure if it made sense. Then again, lots of things didn't make sense. Her green eyes watched the puppy, not even thinking for a second that this could be a bad idea. Without Kakiri to notice shit, she was definitely a ripe plum for the picking.
"Well.. Sure! I don't see any harm in that! Will you be my friend when you're alive, puppy?" Actually, part of her thoughts recoiled at that. Kakiri would skin him alive... Well. Maybe Kakiri would like him too!

"Uh, not just that. See, there's a little more to it..." He closed one of his dark eyes as she went to scratch his head. The wolf angled his head just enough to get a bitch of an itch right behind his ear. Ah, better. Back to business!
"You see, my uncle was very skilled with plants. He made a tank with this seed extract that will bring me back to life. All you need to do is find a piece of my remains, put it in the tank, and I will come back to life." While he wasn't absolutely sure how said process worked, he figured Turles knew what he was talking about, if what he had heard was true. "As you can see, being a spirit, I can't really do it myself. So I need help..."
He smiled, or what was considered a smile for a small wolf. Raditz on his end was smirking though. She was willing to give it a go! Thank the moon!
"Sure, we can be the best of friends forever and ever, if I'm alive. Otherwise, I might disappear for good." He was totally unaware of whatever this person could be capable of, but if she were this dense and sweet, it couldn't be much. Besides, he had no intention of killing her much less hurting her, since she was his ticket to freedom. It'd be senseless to punish her for a deed well done.
Radish sat back, watching her intently as his tail continued to wag. While she was busy coming back to the area with her body in tow, he would work on figuring out if he could fly in this manifested form. If what he was told was right, he would need it.

Explaining things to Pepper was kind of a waste of time. She was bound to either forget it all, or not pay a single lick of attention. Or just not understand a single bit of it.
Even in her astral projection form, which was rather hazy, most colors hard to make out, her eyes still retained a bright green hue, like the earth itself. Dropping her hand, she dropped into a crouch, resting insubstantial arms over insubstantial legs. Because she hadn't really thought about it, her form was mimicking her physical body, and the outfit- or lack of outfit- she had been in when she had answered his call.
Her hazy ears twitched as she listened to him, those brilliant green eyes blinking a couple of times. The sheer idea of having a friend, even if Kakiri skinned him the first chance she got, was a wonderful thought. Pepper was determined, however, not to let this puppy die again if she managed to do this right!
"Yay! Then I'll do it! I love puppies! And I've always wanted one for a friend! Especially one that can talk!" A delighted, utterly charming laugh escaped her as she rose to her feet, spinning with her arms wide, one leg kicking out before she came to a stop, studying her surroundings.
She needed to remember where she was. A frown touched her lips. She was dismal at best with directions, and she had no idea where she was. Looking down at the ground, she thought it over before gaining an idea.
Kneeling, Pepper reached her hand down, placing her palm on the earth. A smile touched her face, as the earth felt so warm, so alive to her touch. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and began to channel the gaian energies.
It was similar to charging for a ki blast, but had a few differences. She pulled the energy in and held it close to her, focusing it, and harnessing it down. Then, when she felt she had enough, she began to trace the earth with one finger, writing something in a different language. As her finger traced lines in the earth, the trail glowed softly with energy. After writing it, she slowly traced a circle around it. As soon as the ends connected, the energy flared for a moment before dying down to a full shimmer.
"There... Now I can find my way back." It was a beacon, tied directly to her.

Something about the girl who would be his helper reminded him of Kakarot.
And that was kind of scary.
They seemed to both have that whole let's get along vibe and she was sickeningly sweet. Just like when he dealt with his brother, she was not threatening at all, in fact she seemed almost laughable in her training get-up. It would be hard to take her seriously. There was a nagging feeling in the back of his head, his instincts weren't exactly agreeable about her but he ignored them for now.
The corner of his furry mouth twitched. She would soon be in for a rude awakening when she wound up finding her friend to be a little more than some cute puppy. He was looking forward to seeing the look on her face. He leaned back as she stood, giggling and spinning. It was certainly odd behavior, it wasn't something he was used to seeing, though most females he had dealt with were either employed harlots or running for their lives. So this was new. And disturbing. He was half tempted to reconsider the not killing her deal.
He watched as she knelt down and took note that she was doing something odd. The wolf watched intently. Saiyajins tended to pick up on special skills they observed quite quickly. It was certainly a helpful talent, which he was putting to use now as he observed her making something akin to a marker on, or possibly in, the earth. He jumped back when the energy flared and he glanced up at her.
"That's great...Now hurry it up, would ya?" He urged. "I don't have all that much time to waste sitting around."

With the marker finished, Pepper opened her eyes, directing a bright smile to the puppy sitting in front of her, only a faint glow remaining in her eyes. Completely unaware of the fact that the 'puppy' had been studying her intently as she created the marker, she just gave a nod at his words.
"You got it, Mr. Puppy! Hang around, okay? I'm all the way over in.. um... West City." It took her a moment to remember where she was. Capsule Corp was more accurate, but she didn't know if the puppy would know that name.
Leaning forward, she wrapped her own spirit arms around the spirit dog and hugged him before kissing him on the nose. "I'll come as soon as I can!" All she had to do was talk Mr. Vegeta into letting her take a bit of time from the training to get here. It wouldn't take her long, especially now that she could fly and bypass the cliffs much quicker then before.
Letting go of Radish, she waved before spinning on one heel and vanishing-
And reappearing in her body. There was a brief lapse before a yelp escaped Pepper, as her face met a wall. Again.
".. Ow."

Post by Vegeta on Apr 25, 2011 1:08:00 GMT -5
While she was busy with the flying exercises, Vegeta had busied himself with a small snack of some ham and pineapple. Bulma hadn't wanted to put a fridge in the Gravity Room, but his argument that it was either that or smelling a sweaty saiyajin at the table had won that argument. He sat back with his feet propped, chewing contently on a nice meaty piece with the skin on one side and little fat as he observed her comfort level with flying under gravity. Occasionally he tossed a small ki blast at her but something was off.
She had run into the wall at least twice now it seemed, neither times due to his blasts. She had avoided or soaked those just fine. What was her problem? He'd taken note that something had changed in her face just before hitting the wall. Were Wuko and Kakiri having some manner of fight in there and they kept switching in the course of a lap? Or was she worn out from the training? Bah, he hadn't worked her that hard. Not yet anyway. Either way, this crashing into the damn walls needed to stop before she involuntarily made a hole like she had in the windows of the house earlier.
"What's going on in that peon head of yours? Can't you fly half an hour without having a brain fart and running into something?"
He sat down the plate of food that not only had ham on it but a mound of sweet pineapple caserole. She was going to get a whooping if his food cooled too much. "Are you two competing for training experience in there or something? Or are you tired?" Vegeta hoped she claimed she was tired just so he could show her that she wasn't tired enough. "Go fly outside and clear your numbskull head if that helps you focus."

Thump! Thump! Thump!
Shio bound up and down the snowy mountain side. Now and then an unaware rabbit found itself snatched up, it's tender neck perfectly broken before it was shoved into a makeshift sack for later. Only once did she wind up stopping, feeling a minor seizure coming in before she went jumping again.
After settling against a rock and letting the spasms work themselves out, she stuck a finger in her ear. There had been several odd 'pings' coming from somewhere that had set off a few episodes. It was pretty damned infuriating and she was curious to know where the hell they came from. She figured it had to be an ikikesan somewhere, she even vaguely wondered if it was a ploy to get her out of hiding. The silvery woman wasn't sure if they were still looking for her or not. It had been so long ago, she highly doubted it, then again their desparation to preserve their bloodlines might actually have them looking.
'Well, I could go back, not like they'll be able to force me to do any damn thing. But not until Suto-mu's time has passed.' Shio wasn't sure how her people had progressed so far, but she felt she had to be pretty high on the strength scale by now. Still, she wasn't sure she would welcome being in the desert again, so used to the chilly weather of the mountains.
She wasn't sure how long the great wolf had. When they had met, she knew he had to be ancient but even he was clueless as to how old he was. Yet time was now catching up to him and after over a decade together she couldn't believe that goodbye could come any day. The wind blew delicate snow past her, drifting down the slope while she sat staring ahead in thought. Without her companion, she wasn't sure what she would do but living still on the mountain almost felt out of the question. There would be too many memories, it would be too depressing.
Despite the pain at the future loss, her eyes didn't water up. Shio didn't cry. Ever. She wondered if she were even really capable of it. 'Or perhaps I've come full circle and have totally accepted this and already moved on? Mm, that sounds harsh even to me.' Suto-mu had always teased her that she was not a very emotional person, she always bottled it up. Ha, like he could talk, he did the same thing!
With a sigh, she looked down at the mostly full sack of rabbits that would require skinning and pulling apart. Her mate no longer had much tolerance for bone, so she had to be careful when she gave him the meat. But so far, the sack was no where near full enough. Grunting, she hoisted herself up to her feet and returned to jumping from place to place in order to scour for more rabbits. Some of the mountain goats might have been more timely, but Shio was in no mood to wrestle things with horns at the moment. Since the odd pinging had stopped, she was able to fully focus on her task again.

The Ikikesan sat up, rubbing her face from where it had met the wall... Again. It was a miracle that she hadn't broken something, really. Then again, her skull was as probably as hard as the rocks that her people so highly revered.
The sharp voice commanded her attention completely, causing her head to lift, her green-eyed gaze turning to the pissy Prince. For once, she didn't even note the food on the plate next to him. Her mind was so wrapped around the idea of having a friend that she couldn't even focus on her usual hunger pangs.
"I guess I wasn't paying attention when I came back..." Pepper muttered, rubbing her head before getting to her feet. It was a bit of a struggle, as the heavy gravity weighed down on her. Still, she managed. She had learned already that Vegeta was a hard taskmaster, and that he took nothing less then success. Shaking her head again, she blinked at him as he spoke chewing on her lip as she brought up one arm to push sweat out of her eyes. It might not be a bad idea to get a band or something to keep both her hair and sweat out of her eyes...
Wow. That was a logical thought for her. Was she feeling okay?
Sighing softly, she bowed apologetically to Vegeta, placing her hands on her thighs. She had quickly learned that excuses, whining, and anything simliar was pointless. He wanted action, not little kid whining. She was fairly certain that she had was doing pretty good, though...
Blinking her green eyes as she straightened up, she tilted her head at him as he spoke. Wait. Flying... Outside? By herself? Wait. Maybe she could... Hey yeah! That would work!
"Fly outside? Really? Can I fly longer distances?! I wanna see how fast I am!" Unable to help herself, she clasped her hands together, bouncing on her feet. "I promise I'll come back! I wanna see how fast and far I can get!!" Naturally she'd be back... she'd get hungry. And the sad thing was, she wasn't even lying. For the moment, her mind had forgotten about Puppy Radish and was delighted at the thought of seeing how fast and far she could fly. She wanted to see what this training was doing for her!

"I don't think you were either..." When she came back? Where exactly was she coming back from? He was curious to know where she could go beyond her own damned brain but he refrained from asking. It didn't really matter to him if one was missing in action, since there was always the second one to fall back on apparently...until she started crashing.
Giving her a loud 'harumph', he got to his feet and retrieved his plate. The prince moved easily under the level of gravity in the room, eating some more as he went, showing the difference in tolerance between the two. After a while of training under the pressure, Pepper would be able to do the same and thensome.
"Might as well make some use of your 'break' anyway so do that. I don't care so long as you come back more focused than now! Just know that I will hold it against you if you pass out somewhere and don't return at a respectable time!" Vegeta jabbed the fork at her direction threateningly as he walked by on his way out for the lawn. He planned on finishing his snack and making some use of the remaining afternoon sun while she was off flying around to her heart's delight. Reading some more of his book while soaking in the sun sounded pretty good right about now.
After he cleaned off the plate, he sat it in the sink and disappeared into the back room to change out of his training outfit for a pair of black trunks. Once changed, he came back out into the main room. He made his way over to the controls and punched in a few keys, effectively shutting the machine down for now since it would not really be in use till she got back. "I'll be in the yard." He grunted, grabbing Dragons of Autumn Twilight before he made his way out of the gravity room to find a nice spot on the grass to relax on.

... That was easier then she thought.
Not even thinking about how 'odd' it sounded that she was talking about her mind being elsewhere, a grin split across her lips, a feral light entering those green orbs. She had watched him, part of her envying how easily he moved, but that thought being shoved off with the determination to move that easily in the gravity chamber as well. Now, however, her attention was focused on his assent.
Her bouncing came to end as she found herself tiring a bit. After all, it wasn't that easy to be a hyper spazzoid in high gravity. One hand rose in a thumb's up gesture as she gave a nod. "You got it, Mister Vegeta! I'll be back before it's too late!"
His next words would be wasted, because she was already gone. By the time Vegeta had re-entered the main room, she was already on the lawn, arms above her head, feet spread apart as she stretched. Then, with a happy sigh, she rolled her shoulders and bounced on her feet. She felt so light! And she felt like she could move so much faster!
As he exitted the gravity chamber, she gave him a grin before shifting. Her hands twitched as if about to make that curious meditation gesture, but stayed at her side. It went without saying that he was probably trying to beat her out of that gesture and into more quicker, instantenous responses. She channeled her ki, drawing the earth's energies into her as well before her muscles tense-
And she was gone.
No, seriously. She was gone. Her energy trail was there, but Pepper herself was already far up in the sky.

While Vegeta was taking his time relaxing and Pepper was zooming, presumably, on her way back, Radish had settled for pacing back and forth impatiently. He had figured where his body had been shifted and shallowly buried where his spacepod had been.
The once sharp cut edge of the downward slope into the sizable crater had been worn away by time and he was sure only a foot or two of dirt had been moved in order to bury him. His dark eyes narrowed as he sat at the edge and hung his head over to eye his burial site with disdain. On one hand, it was good his remains were around. On the other, he was embarrassed for never having a proper funeral pyre or to be properly buried and guarded from being dug up by animals as kibble. Did humans have no shame? No respect for their worthy enemies? Thankfully, no animal had disturbed the site so his bones were all accounted for and present in the soil.
'Hm, I wonder how long the girl will be...'
