Most wouldn't believe that the demi-Saiyajin had started on the statue before the goo. Mainly because he was such a nerd when it came to learning about technologies. However, Trunks had carefully begun to work on restoring the statue of his grandfather before doing anything with the nasty purple goo that remained in a bowl nearby. He searched the lab for the restoration tools then settled down at his own table to get started. It was a slow process, one that he did very carefully with incredibly steady hands.
Before his father had even set off to find the dragon balls, he was almost half way done. By the time he was finished the statue of his grandfather would look like it was just made. The sounds of his mom yelling was such a common occurrence that it didn't even cause a disturbance in his work. Trunks brushed away some flecks of ingrained dirt then got to work with a tiny little metal tool to get the remaining dirt out of the creases. Once it was relatively clean, he started repairing the minute cracks with a special Capsule Corp. tool. He had put on music for some background noise but didn't move to it as he was focused mainly on the statue in his hands.
When he had the lab all to himself he was able to pick and chose what ever he wanted. His grandfather preferred older genres where as his mother liked complete silence. Growing up as a fighter and never being completely sure of whether or not you had to bolt out to save the world caused him to be a bit restless at times even though they had had peace for the past ten plus years. It was just loud enough to fill the lab, but not loud enough so that he couldn't hear himself think.
A polishing cloth was just within reach and he tenderly held his project in one hand as the other grabbed at the cloth. He went over the stone in gentle circles, buffering it back to life before he stood up. Trunks admired the statue, eyes going ever every detail about his grandfather's face. He knew how alike he and his father were, but he also looked like his Saiyajin grandfather as well.
His blue eyes continued to gaze at the statue as if seeking answers. When the music switched to another song he was pulled out of his thoughts and he stood up to place the statue on a shelf next to him. If one walked in they could see it or if he turned his head, he could see it.
Trunks placed his hands on his shoulders and moved his head from side to side to get a satisfying crack. He then stretched upwards onto the balls of his feet, interlocking his fingers and pushing them above his head to crack his back. Upon settling back on the ground, he got to work on the purple goo that Radditz had carried back on his person. As he ran a tube of it through the Mass Spectrometer, he inspected a drop beneath a microscope for himself.
Knowing what he was looking for made things definitely a whole lot easier. He straightened from the microscope to turn his head towards the tanks on the other side of the lab. There were two of them, nearly identical in every way. They had been used before on his father and friends to heal them up when Senzu beans weren't an option. With a few modifications and a replication of the code in the goo...
Trunks cracked his neck again before getting to work as quick and efficiently as possible. Granted it probably would have went by a lot faster with the aid of his mother and/or grandfather, but he knew his genius and the way he wanted things to work. Other people generally just got in the way of what he wanted and how he wanted it to be done. He didn't mean that his family couldn't do the work he did, he just did it a certain way that was all his own. That and he had his father's pride.
A touch of his finger cranked the music up a little more as he pulled down a wielding shield over his eyes. He fired up the torch and got to work.
By the time Bardock had completed his wishes and the bones had appeared all over the yard, Trunks had discarded his wielding gear and was wearing only one of his black Capsule Corp. muscle shirts as he finished up the programming. When his mother entered the lab, he had hit the start up button to see if it would start up again. It stalled. He growled in frustration before smacking it at the back in a very Vegeta-like move.
It started.
He grinned as the machine flooded with a crystal clear liquid and hit the kill switch to have it drain again. Trunks suddenly realized that someone was calling his name over the music. Sheepishly the teenager turned it down so that it was just background noise before giving an easy smile to his mother. He definitely worked fast.
"We'll have to do a live trial to see if it actually does what it should, but I think we're pretty much good to go." [/color]

Despite scoffing and dismissing the lot as useless, Shio followed them at a more leisurely pace. However, once she wound up reaching West City, she had to refrain from jumps when she ended up plowing through someone's ceiling, interrupting a meal as she landed on their table. She merely gave the humans a dismissive glance before jumping back out and smashing a bit of asphalt of the street outside, scaring quite a few pedestrians and causing a craft to swerve and crash into a pole.
She eyed the craft warily, sometimes having seen the ones that come and go from isolated North City. They were obnoxius things. It had been funny that one time Suto-mu had jumped up high enough to knick the wing of one passing by.
Ignoring the gawkers, she made her way onto the sidewalk, though the rules of pedestians on foot such as herself were beyond her. So that hardly stopped her from stepping into active crosswalks. She did learn after enough honking and crashes as well as some momentary observation that she was better off waiting for the moving metal beasts to sit still before continuing.
The Ikikesan was mildly confused when it seemed to grow dark faster then she really thought it would, and did not wind up seeing the dragon who was the cause for it until the last minute before the seven orbs shot off. The silver-haired woman arched a brow in the direction the dragon had been. She was no where near as dumbstruck as the humans. She had seen it at least once before, way off in the distance near where that dead Tree had been. Suto-mu had told her it was another ancient of the world, which humans seemed to call on for wishes from time to time. It was an intrigueing tale, but he had little else to tell her about it. Surely the wishes that beast could grant would cure her, and she might even extend the wish for all Ikikesans who might have been afflicted. She wasn't 100% cold-hearted bitch after all.
Since the bitch and her friends had been less then helpful, she shot off in the direction of where the dragon came from...And saw them once she had snuck in through the garden. So they had summoned it? She felt more annoyed then before now. Turning, she sat down, hidden among the trimmed hedges to ponder what her next move would be. Sitting indian style, she rested her forehead against her fist as she thought. There were three others she did not recognize that perhaps she could question. She was likely to get more useless babble from them. She would look into this human hopsital but it was the bitch's suggestion and therefore useless as well.
'Argh. This is assinine. I should have stayed with Suto-mu till his end. I hate when he gets insistent...'

It was tempting to bash Bardock's head in. It really was. Vegeta smoothed a hand over his face, growling. It was a good thought, but Gods only knew how many rejects were amassed there among the bones. He hated the idea of combing through defective bullshit. 'Ugh, I could strangle that low-class moron...'
Undoubtedly, Bulma would have heated words once this was all settled down. He didn't really blame her, his gravity chamber was buried under that shit too. That would wait till-His nose twitched and he turned his head. The Prince sniffed four more times, deep and thoughtful. That was unexpected. "Pepper, did you invite more of your kind or something?" He grunted, heading for the hedges Shio was hiding in before reaching in to yank her off the ground by the back of her tiny shirt...if it could be called that anyway. She didn't flail or anything, legs scrunching close and looking very much like a cat being held by the scruff of it's collar. "Who the hell is this?"
"Shio Alabasta." She answered simply.
"And what the hell are you doing here?" Vegeta arched a brow at how frankly and quickly she answered.
"Assistance, Mr. Alpha."
Well, he could get used to that, at least she recognized authority which explained her prompt response. The Saiyajin dropped her on her rear as he tilted his head. Did every Ikikesan dress like that half the time? Or was that simply their manner of training attire?
"Vegeta...Why exactly is it that you keep finding pointy eared girls?" Bulma demanded, coming back from the lab with news when she saw her man dropping the new girl. She merely earned a shrug to which she rolled her eyes as she came over and told him what Trunks told her before inquiring about Shio. Again, she got another shrug much to her annoyance before he told her to find out for herself as he moved over to Bardock to show him to the lab where Trunks had the equipment ready. He took a moment to shoot Pepper a vaguely annoyed look but Shio was all but forgotten afterward since Bulma was taking care of the situation.
A live trial, huh? He didn't much care for the sound of that but there were extra bones they could do it with later on when Trunks perfected whatever process he had in place. It wasn't his woman anyway. "Let's get this over with. Then we'll see about scouring the site." After all of this mess was taken care of, he figured a tequila and a long fucking nap would be in order.

Pepper wasn't sure what was more surprising: The whole exchange with the dragon, or the huge fucking pile of bones that had come out of nowhere.
The Ikikesan had been staring up at the dragon, committing the image to her fractured memory, and had only spared Bardock a glance when he performed his first wish. The glance turned into a double take as she saw that the ridiculous halo that had been hovering over his head was gone. Not only that, but her druidic senses- something that Kakiri excelled in better then Wuko- could actually sense him more clearly now. He really was alive now? This creature had the ability to restore the dead so easily?
His next wish seemed overly convulated, and- Wait. Was he asking fo-
"Great GAIA!" Pepper swore harshly, jumping back as the bones just suddenly appeared in one giant mountain and a smaller pile near them.
Bones?! What do they need bones for?! Wuko squeaked in her mind. The brat tried to wrestle control away from her, but her ears only flicked as she shook her head, freeing herself of the idiot's feeble attempts. Her eyes flickered, studying the bones before looking hard at Raditz.
It's that fluid, dumbshit. That has to be it. Raditz had you dig up one of his bones. And now they're going to use that same fluid that Trunks is probably replicating to restore all of these... people. The pieces fell together in her mind, even as she glanced at the bones again, frowning. They were definitely humanoid bones, for sure. Some of them looked rather old, and many of them were showing teeth marks.
Her green eyes slid over to Bardock, watching as he moved to the pile of bones and pulled out a rather small and delicate skull.
A woman's skull? It was only a guess, and merely because the skull was smaller then the others in the pile. Or a child's. She didn't miss the quiet second Bardock had but just brushed it off, looking at the monstrous pile.
"No kidding... Though apparently everyone but us has seen that every day." Pepper retorted to Raditz softly, since the only surprise that Bulma had was her garden being buried.
Before she could really do anything else, however, Vegeta spoke, causing her to look over. Her green eyes were puzzled before they narrowed thoughtfully, her senses going ou-
"What the fuck?" Pepper asked, just a mere second before Vegeta grabbed the hidden Ikikesan. Turning fully, Pepper stared Shio before barking out in laughter and shaking her head, a smirk on her lips. Reaching up, she stretched briefly before resting her hands on the back of her head, watching Shio for a moment before tilting her head.
Hell. Anything I say, the idiot's not going to listen to. Still, what the hell? The annoyed look from Vegeta wasn't missed, but she just gave him a shrug as she stepped forward. She had no desire to see another naked saiyajin. Certainly, Raditz had been well-endowed and had been something to look at, but she wasn't about to listen to Bulma's shrieks of rage up close and personal if her hunch about the skull being female was correct. Besides. She was in a good mood now, and didn't feel like being homicidal. Amazing what a shower, a good meal, some training, another snack, and being far away from that tree could do.
"Shio." Pepper called, resting one hand on her hip as she tilted her head. "We didn't get off on the right foot. Actually it was kind of a sandstorm up there, figuratively speaking. These humans and saiyajin call me Pepper." There was the obvious implication that it wasn't her real name. To her credit, she actually tried to not mentally belittle the woman's intelligence about being able to catch it.
Who to the what now?
Especially since she had to deal with a real idiot.
"I do know why you, and all of our people, have maladies. I can explain what happened, but you'll either have to deal with me-" With her free hand, she pointed her thumb at her chest, "-or deal with the other half of my brain, the idiot." Her hand moved up to tap her noggin. "It's your choice, and I'm a bitch to everyone. Less so right now because I'm not near that fucking tree-" Her eye gave a little twitch, "-and I had a big lunch. Up to you, but... Well, serious shit went down and our people need to know."
Wait, did she just have an actual Princess moment, taking care of her people in a weirdly roundabout way?
Couldn't be. Kakiri was the bitch.

Stepping into the building, Bardock followed the prince to the lab where the man's son had gotten to work engineering something to work with the life giving goo...Or something to that nature, he wasn't really sure. All he really cared was that the damn thing worked and didn't mess Selypa up in any way. "Guess I can't ask for any guarantees or something, huh?" When they stepped in, he glanced over the tank system they had ready and once he was given the okay, he placed the bone from the female Saiya-jin of his team into the machine.
Now they played the waiting game once it was closed up.
They bided their time by tending to the bone pile, especially when Vegeta threatened to rip his tail off if the gravity room wasn't cleared away at least. Talk about brutal, the very tip was still missing, eliciting the occassional stinging twitch. They made a pile of what they suspected were women and children, a pile for what seemed to be deformed bones, and those that they had to guess were male. The skulls were their primary source to determine what was what, but there was often a skull here or there that gave them reason to pause. The typical female Saiya-jin did tend to be considerably daintier than the typical male, and the males tended to have strong facial features. Some like himself, the prince, and Raditz often threw off that system, as did the amazon-like women.
An hour passed by followed by another. They had eventually cleared out a majority of the mess and gotten the skulls they intented to keep for later use sorted and stored. The rest of the bones had been put into disposal storage to get out of the way. There was plenty of ash and dust still cluttering the grass, almost making it look like it had snowed, but some rain would eventually wash it away unless Bulma had some employees taking the hoses to the mess. With a bottle of vodka in hand, Bardock took a break from the clean up to head back to the lab and check on the status of his teammate.
The third class found Bulma laying out a few articles of clothing. A pink shirt, some sweatpants, some jeans. He raised an eyebrow at a dress and he looked at her. It looked similar to the one she was wearing actually. Bardock scratched his head. It was unlikely Selypa would wear that but it would have been an interesting sight. "So...How does she look so far?"
"If you think I'm looking in and possibly getting blasted by a possibly confused Saiya-jin, you're out of your mind." The blue haired genius scoffed, slapping his shoulder as she headed back out since she had brought some spare clothing so she wouldn't have some naked woman running around. It was proving difficult enough to make Shio change.

Post by Selypa on Oct 20, 2011 16:43:51 GMT -5
Back down in hell, Selypa had been passing the time, playing dice with Toma. Totepo was wisely keeping Panbukin on watch with him, letting the other two have a bit of peace, though no one could really be at peace. The dice, carved from some bone or something, more often then not paused as one of them thought they heard something. With Turles no doubt out for blood, and Ba'Tege as well, it was tense.
At the very least, she was winning the dice game for once. Until the dice fell through her hands.
Not even hearing what Toma was saying, Selypa lifted her hand, able to stare through it at the other members of the team. For a moment, she felt panic. Was she being erased from existence?
... No. The sensations.. She felt strange, but also exuberant. Her violet-eyed gaze lifted to Toma, a grin splitting across her lips. "Bardock must have done it. I- PANBUKIN BACK THE FUCK OFF OR I WILL SMITE YOU!"
The time passed by agonizingly slow for Selypa. As each minute passed, more and more of her body began to vanish, until she couldn't pick up a damn thing. It was entertaining, however, when Toma tricked Panbukin into trying to tackle her and he ended up going through her to crash into a spike.
Finally, she was barely there, and every time she closed her eyes, she had a strange sensation of being... somewhere else. There were phantom noises around her, as if she were underwater or something.
"Hopefully it won't be too long before Bardock can get you guys back as well." Lifting her head, she looked at Toma, raising an eyebrow. "See you topside, Toma."
With that, she finally winked out of existence.
In the tank, the violet eyes of the female saiyajin, the only living full-blooded female, opened before immediately closing. What the hell.. Was she in a vat of goo? What the fuck was this? Moving her arms through the goo, she reached up, finding the top of... A tank?
Once again, what the fuck?
Pushing herself up, she broke free of the goo, opening her eyes again to look around, blinking her eyes to clear them of the substance. She was in some kind of tank, very similar, if not exactly similar, to the tanks used for healing.. It felt like forever since she had seen one. SPitting out some of the goo that had gotten into her mouth- It didn't actually taste bad, was rather sweet, actually, just had a weird substance- she studied the top above her. Her fingers moved to try to find a clasp, but were just too damn slippery to grab anything. Scowling, she pulled back her fist.
BAM- Clang.
Can't find a way out, then break it!
With the top now opened, she grabbed the edge, pulling herself up to get a better look. A chill caused her to look around. "... Huh. God damn it. Can't even get resurrected with my damn armor." Scowling, she pushed out of the tank, flipping out of it and landing with some rather disgusting squelch noises. Apparently she was in a lab or something.. Not really worth her interest.
A voice she heard outside of the lab, however, was welcome. Bringing her hand up, she swiped her hands at the goo on her body, trying to get some of it off. Unless she had a dip in a pond or something, it wasn't about to come off too easily. "Fah..." She muttered before licking her lips. Holy crap, she was hungry. Real hunger. And hunger she could sate.
Fuck yes...
Striding forward, she moved to the door, looking amused as it slid open automatically. Placing her hands on the doorframe, she poked her head out, smirking at the tall saiyajin.
"She's right. You're absolutely out of your mind." Her violet eyes travelled to the clothes, looking at the shirt, then the blue, thick pants, completely bypassing the loose pants and the.. ugh. Dress. Being a saiyajin, she wasn't completely adverse to nudity, it just was a bit of a bitch to get the guy's respect when they saw a female naked. Especially one shining and covered in goo. "Pass me that shirt and those pants, will ya? Are we on some backwater planet with no fuckin' armor?" Bringing a hand around, she swiped at some of the goo in her hair, shaking her hand to let it plop to the ground. "And what the fuck is this stuff? This that tree stuff Raditz was talking about?"

"Huh?" Bulma had been preparing to leave when it seemed that their upcoming addition to the household decided it was time to wait up. She didn't even bother to grimace at how the woman punched out the door of the tank. It was something else for Trunks to work with anyway, he would have to get used to his machines getting trashed.
The human woman took a moment to look Selypa up and down for a second with her blue eyes. In all honesty, she had expected a Saiya-jin woman to be a bit more amazon looking. The one here seemed rather on the petite side. And really pretty too. Despite that, she had that look in her eye like she could turn around and thrash a guy without a second thought. "Hm. Okay then..." She made a mental vow to someday get the woman to put on a dress, if not just because of the way she looked at it. The blue haired scientist scooped up the shirt and pants, stepping over to her. "Hi there and welcome back to the land of the living. I-Hm."
Bulma frowned at the goo which seemed rather stubborn. "Huh. You'll probably want a good hot shower to wash that junk off. Here, there's a private one here in the lab for that sort of thing. Once you're done, you and Bardock can come up and eat." She ushered the Saiya-jin woman over towards the small bathroom where the shower stall was installed, tossing the clothes onto the dry sink basin. "I'll go ahead and let mom know to make some extra. After you're clean and fed and settled in, we can talk about making you some armor later if you want. We don't really have any for a woman's figure, but we can take measurements and junk so we can make you one that's a custom fit."
Giving her a wink as she left her to the shower, she barked an order at Bardock to try and not be a perv so the revived woman could bathe in peace, followed by another to show her the way to the dining room when she was done. There was also one about getting his feet off her lab table and to stop spilling his drink on the damned floor. Vegeta could be heard upstairs barking something about 'the harpy is on the attack' so Bulma eventually worked her way upstairs to give him an earful too as well as the others who were laughing. The only people not reprimanded for giggling were her mother and Bra.
Yay, welcome to the family all right.

"Alive five minutes and already complaining." Bardock smirked when he came to check out the bang from the tank being forcibly opened. How like her not to wait till someone got her out. Knowing it was a one way ticket to a swift kick in the balls, the tall Saiya-jin did his best not to oggle, but that didn't mean he couldn't get a glance or two. He smirked deviously as Bulma ushered her to a shower stall.
"Ooh. Yes ma'am. Yes ma'am." The third glass made some mock bowing gestures with his hands in the air at every order Bulma directed at him. Normally, he would be somewhat inclined to blast her for the orders, however there were a multitude of factors working in Bulma's favor. By all technical rights, she was his queen/princess depending on how some Saiya-jin looked at it. Since Vegeta, who was now king, was also her mate, that basically made her the queen. Another factor was the fact that she was putting him up, as well as his son and Selypa, and obviously ready to put up any other Saiya-jins that came popping up. It seemed she did it more out of being a kindly person, which he could respect, rather than a 'royal duty to the people' but either way...Lastly, for a weak human, she had that intimidating factor working for her. She had fangs and she wasn't afraid to use them. He respected that too. All in all, Bardock was convinced Bulma was born to the wrong race really. Ha.
He snickered when he heard the royal upstairs. Harpy. Fitting title for her. Once she was gone upstairs, he let out a low whistle as he turned in the direction that Selypa had been guided to. "She's a pistol. But she's been pretty good, makes sure there's plenty of food and booze on hand and so long as we don't blow up the town, or the house, we're free to come and go as we please." Bardock shrugged, taking a seat and resisting the urge to polish off the bottle of liquor he had in hand till Selypa was done. He could make himself useful and do the kid, Trunks was it, a favor and fix the tank's door...
Actually, setting the bottle down, he got up and went to the tank to look it over. He was ready to say 'Nah, fuck it' but he didn't want the goo inside to possibly dry up. According to Raditz the original seemed to be a pretty tight seal, enough so that no moisture would escape so it was safe to assume the stuff might evaporate if ignored long enough. Adjusting the lid, he made sure it was at least closed enough to prevent any loss. It wasn't a solid fix, but it would do for the time being.
As he returned to his seat, he called to Selypa loud enough that she would hear him through whatever she was doing in there. "Have yet to see any sign of Kakarot or his kin, but we've been keeping our power levels on the downlow for the time being. From what I understand, they're all the way on the eastern side of the continent."
