Shared Interests Wrestling, playing games, the outdoors (to a degree after a while anyway), running around in the rain, learning to cook, fireworks, sweets and any fruit known to man. Shared Dislikes Women (due mostly to their mother), non-playful violence towards them, being tricked, cold weather, stuffy temples and their priests, time-out. Shared Handicaps Inability to read and write, sometimes backwards speech patterns, inabilities with utilizing 'I, you, we, me, them, they, us' properly and instead refer to names specifically, easy to scare (especially with violent gestures), general ignorance and lack of proper discipline, weaker at night, claustrophobia. Powers As Fenghuang demons, Suka and Luka both utilize a variety of fire and light based energy attacks. Suka however prefers to be more on the helpful side in healing and strengthening allies while Luka tends to be more for raining hot destruction down on his enemies in a fight. Suka's Powers

Personalities Suka and Luka are twins and as such they tend to share several qualities. Both have a tendency to be rambunctious and playful, often acting out to make up for time lost due to being restricted to indoor living for most of their shared lives. As such, they have a bad habit of getting into mischief and wind up causing more damage to property then a pair of normal thirteen year olds would do.They know very little about taking responsibility and showing remorse for some of their destructive actions, so when they're punished, they find it hard to understand why. Suka on the other hand, tends to act a little more seriously then her brother. She may be hesitant at times to assist in mayhem, but doesn't require much convincing afterwards to go ahead and have her fun. She does go on to reflect after a punishment though and is more likely to learn some manner of lesson from being being scolded. Luka however has no sense of the word serious. He makes up for his sister's reflective, more wary manner with his own being much more laidback and carefree. The only way to drive a lesson of discipline home often seems to require a more physical form of punishment... That unfortunately is a very, very bad idea. Neither Suka nor Luka take being hit in a manner that isn't playful very personal. From a minor blow like a swat of a fan to an actual beating, anything that can be considered a violent act towards them with the intent to hurt or even discipline threatens to ignite the tempermental side of their Fenghuang demon nature. They are more likely to go on a destructive, violent rampage all over the one responsible for hurting them and it's difficult to calm them down until they're spent or a limiter is placed on each of them. |
Appearance Being half-siblings to Genjo Sanzo, they actually share a few of his features that make it easy to consider them related before it's fully realized. Both twins have blond hair though their's is more of a dirty brown blond then Sanzo's. The natural feathery shaping is also similar though while Sanzo has one piece that sweeps over the top of his head, the twins have two longer pieces that sweep down the sides, ending just past their pointy ears. With a lack of seeing a barber (let alone knowing what a haircut is) their hair is considerably long and messy. Their eyes have a hint of droopiness but neither have the same purple hue to their irises. The best way to tell the pair apart besides Suka's own personal developing is that Suka has bright blue eyes like sapphires and Luka has bright red eyes like rubies. A few other subtle differences between the two are their body's frames and slightly different facial shaping as well as Suka being just a little paler then Luka. They further assist in providing some difference in that while their vagabond tattered attire may look identical, Suka utilizes more of her favorit color orange while Luka goes with his own, purple. |
Background Some years after laying low to let the scandalous affair he had parteken in with a woman much younger than himself, Rin Tokou had aquired a new mate, Yavapoi, with whom he had two more children, much to her chagrin. She had been particularly insistent on not having children and had even wanted to avoid enduring the pregnancy. But threats from Tokou that he would leave her if she were to ever disrupt the pregnancy made her submit to the inevitable. Suka and Luka were eventually born, much to Tokou's delight. He treated his newborn twins well, despite the refusal of his mate to partake in their care. The twins were well off anyway, until they turned seven and Rin Tokou passed away due to illness. That left the twins at the mercy of their biological mother and she was hardly interested in the task. After Tokou's death, Yavapoi ignored the pair and did as she pleased. The lack of attentiveness to their needs and no structure left the twins foraging for food in their own house from time to time. Both would often become sick from ingesting uncooked foods they were unaware of as being bad for them, and despite being ill, there was no one to take care of them then either. The twins wound up developing a dislike and distrust of women early on in their lives due to their mother. Not only would the woman not tend to them, but she also had the nerve to get tempermental when they wound up breaking or tearing something up due to the lack of supervision. And being a Fenghuang-type demon herself, her temper had all the potential to be frightening and furious. She used physical abuse as a means to try and keep the twins in line, usually using whatever she could grab if she didn't feel like dirtying her claws or she would lock them up in confined spaces. There was always the option to get rid of them, however no one in town actually realized they existed because she insisted they never leave the house and Yavapoi liked it that way. Less embarrassment for her really. After several years of the abuse and neglect, things had started to turn around on Yavapoi. She was finding it harder to catch either of the twins when she sought to punish them and when she did, they reacted violently in return. soon enough Yavapoi was winding up with as many scrapes and bruises as she was dishing out. This turn of events did not sit well with her, especially as she was courting a potential new mate. So for the first time since their father had died, the twins were let outside. Yavapoi led them along down to the foot of the mountain and once there, she put on an act as if she would come after the pair. With so much empty space to escape in, Suka and Luka took off and never really came back. They wouldn't have known how to anyway, even if they wanted to. Life on the move proved to be difficult but less punishing then their home life. Without any direction in mind, the twins simply wandered. However, their wandering eventually took them into the scorching Diablo Desert. Had it not been their good fortune to run across a small colony in the middle of nowhere, the desert would have gotten them for certain... |
