No.
Hoshi is a misinterpretation of the card based arcade game DB Heroes. Or worse, DBO. Though the dbo one is CG not animated. That goten looking kid with the tail and that broly looking kid with the raditz hair are two of the three original chars to Heroes, Hero and Berserker. The third is a girl who looks like 18 with black hair and chinese clothing called scholar.
And honestly, frieza being relevant again and hirudegarn being present in that trailer should give away the fact that it's either fake or a videogame since logic in the games need not apply.

9 out of 10 times...logic does not apply to anime.
Considering they have a habit of regurgitating villains...I will neither agree or deny with Frieza being relevant.
But in any case, watched what someone called an episode (and when I say episode, I'm talking 20+ minutes with some slight plot) of Hoshi (again, speculating whether that's the case or not) where Bardock went super saiyajin. That was pretty good. xD

THAT, was called the episode of bardock. Some new shit toriyama actually made. The whole idea of bardock surviving the supernova is just ridiculous. Short of a deus ex machina of someone teleporting him out, its just not even possible. And deus ex machinas are usually extremely lame.
But hoshi is heroes. You can look on the wiki and see the "original" characters along with several many cards. Honestly, I wouldn't play heroes even if it was in english... collectible card game played on an arcade system....
