P e r s o n a l i t y -- S a n s h o ... W u k o Has the title confused you? I do apologize for that. There is, in truth, a reason for splitting up the personality into two sections. And that is because her MPD causes her to be literally two people in one. The first, seemingly dominant personality is that of Wuko. A cheerful young woman, Wuko can be described by one word: Idiot. All right, that's not really fair. Wuko is a sweet woman, who's talented in her own ways. It's just... she's incredibly naive. For the first decade or so of her life, she lived in complete isolation in her desert village, and never knew that much of the world around her. She loves people, and seems to have no common sense about anything. She has and will go up to a complete stranger and ask them a very odd question, then follow them around for the rest of the day, asking them more and more questions until they manage to lose her or until something distracts her. She almost seems to have severe ADHD as she can and will randomly get up and leave. The only thing keeping her from running the world in a complete spaz attack is years and years of training from the monks of her village, allowing her some control over her hyperactive tendency. Wuko is highly curious and actually loves to learn, even though she annoys the people involved more often then not. She utterly loves learning new things, and actually does like thinking about things, though she'll complain that she's getting a headache and will go to the nearest physical activity instead. As a fighter, Wuko is highly honorable, due to her training under the monks. Because of this, she doesn't quite understand deceit, fraud, and cheating, and is often left confused. However, it still doesn't stop her from fighting fairly. Though she seems cute and naive, she will tend to take a complete 180 in personality when angered. If her friends and allies are harmed, she will become very angry, and will fight with everything in her. Wuko is loyal to a fault, and will stand by her friends and allies until the end, even if they do betray her and hurt her. She doesn't understand betrayal, and will tell them that she still sees them as her friend. Because of her loyalty, she sometimes may find herself on the wrong side of the fight. Her low understanding of situations around her and complete disinterest in the machinations of others outside of friendship, fighting and food often means she does not see the whole picture, and can wind up on the side of the villains if one of her friends is on said side. If questioned about her alliance, and why she's fighting for 'an evil purpose', Wuko will express complete confusion, and tell the hero that she's fighting because her friend is fighting. Once she realizes the evil, however, it is entirely possible that she will switch sides, though she will have to be convinced. Betrayal by a friend, or the realization that she is being used, is liable to leave Wuko in a sort of depression. She truly does not understand betrayal, and can't understand why someone would want to do something evil. Sansho Wuko really isn't an evil person, she just doesn't have the best of judgement. In the end, Wuko posesses several hero traits, and only wants to help those around her, and wants to protect those who cannot protect themselves, as she does understand that not everyone can fight, or chooses to fight, though it's a mystery to her why no one would ever want to fight. Due to her heritage as an ikikesa, Wuko has a deep love for the Earth. While she will wander in cities, she prefers the outdoors and loves to feel the sun and wind. Partially because of her growing up in the desert, Wuko is extremely hardy and loves to run in places that would fatique others, such as the desert. She loves being in the wilderness but has grown accustomed to people due to her participation in the tournaments and often wanders back into the cities. It is extremely easy to anger Wuko by threatening the land and earth. Her people's sensitivity to gaian energies makes her both stronger on the earth, but also means that she can be weakened by attacking the earth around her and disrupting the gaian energies. Which brings us to Sansho Kakiri... |
P e r s o n a l i t y -- S a n s h o ... K a k i r i In Age 774, ten years ago, the earth was destroyed by Kid Buu. But everyone good was restored, so everything should be okay, right? Not... Quite. Though she was destroyed as well, the destruction of the earth and complete disruption of gaian energies completely shattered the young woman's mind. When she was restored with the rest of the earth, it should have been no problem... Except that her mind was now fractured down the middle. One personality was a sweet-natured, child-like woman. The second was a complete monster. Unlike Wuko, Kakiri, as she calls herself, is completely sadistic and enjoys the pain of others. Like Wuko, she is a highly skilled fighter, and loves the joy of a good fight. Kakiri, however, enjoys the pain of her opponent and will sometimes draw the fight out to cause her opponent even more pain. She is cruel to a fault, and can be easily angered. Whereas Wuko is highly naive, Kakiri seems to have a higher understanding of the world and knows how to manipulate people if she needs to. Peculiarly, Kakiri doesn't show very many greedy tendencies, and instead just seems to want to hurt those around her, possibly because of a side effect of her desire to get revenge for the pain caused to her and to the earth itself. It could also be a side-effect of the monk teachings that she grew up with before the split occured in her mind, preventing her from holding too much attachment to physical objects. That being said... Kakiri is drawn to gemstones, and specifically loves raw, uncut stones. While Wuko's personality would be classified as that of a 'hero', Kakiri would be a villain at worse, and an anti-hero at best. She willingly will fight against the heroes and cause trouble as she pleases, which can cause problems for Wuko later, as Wuko does not comprehend what Kakiri does fully. |
A p p e a r a n c e At first glance, Wuko appears to be just another human girl, standing at at five foot seven, and posessing short-cropped black hair, cut just below her chin like a boy. While she's not a stunning looker that'll knock you on your ass with a flutter of eyelashes, she's not homely either, and is rather comely in her own way. Because she prefers to dress like a boy, many just assume her to be a pretty-looking young man that's surprisingly slender. Preferring to dress like a boy, Wuko tends to wear zhongshan suits, though often with her coat open and undone messily. She'll also wear changshans, including a specific ensemble that she wears for fighting. She disguises her bosom by wrapping her bodice flat with linen bandages or special undergarments, not because she's ashamed, but because she views them as cumbersome and can fight better when she's not bouncing around. In the rare occasion that someone can get her into a dress- usually of qipao or cheongsam styles-, she actually looks pretty gorgeous. The trouble is getting her into them. She utterly hates wearing dresses, and complains that it 'feels like she's naked', suggesting that she's used to wearing either heavy/weighted clothes or just wearing men's clothes altogether and not being used to skirts. Naturally she cannot walk in heels and will fall all over herself. Surprisingly enough, Sansho Kakiri can wear them, though not much better than Wuko sometimes. I k i k e s a -- T e r r a n ... H u m a n o i d It isn't quite clear where the Ikikesa from, or even if they are native to Earth. What is known, is that they are a not human, though they appear so. The Ikikesa are ki-capable lifeforms and posess the ability to manipulate ki into blasts, enfuse their attacks, and posess higher agility, strength, and stamina compared to most humans, though not nearly as strong as the Saiyan race, obviously. However, unlike most lifeforms, the Ikekesa gain their abilities from the earth specifically. Drawing on what they call 'gaian energies', an Ikikesan is at his or her strongest while on a living planet, and not just because, you know, oxygen is good. No, the Ikikesa can literally draw energy from the rock and soil around them, drawing on the 'earthly energies' to power up their attacks. Many of their race-specific attacks are druidic based, though no Ikikesa has ever taken the form of another animal. Drawing from gaian energies is not to be confused with the drawing of lifeforces for the making of a spirit bomb. An Ikikesan is powered by the earth around them, to the point that an Ikikesan will grow sick if away from gaian energies for too long, and not by the lives around them. (An interesting fact, considering the rumors that the Ikikesa came from another world and would have had to traverse through space in order to land on Earth.) An Ikikesan is also affected by the earth around them. Blasts that destroy large chunk of earth will affect an Ikikesan, and attacks that leech life from the planet will weaken them as well. The Ikikesa are not affected by animals, and do not draw power from them, and only draw from the Earth itself. An Ikikesan might be garishly overpowered if it were not for their almost-pacifist nature. Because of their ties with the earth, the Ikikesa revere the earth and often take peaceful, 'green-inspired' decisions. It is because of this that there are no vehicles, and no major factories in the largest Ikikesa colony in the Diablo desert. The people have very little outside contact and survive on their own. An introduction of Buddhist philosophies from a traveller long ago that stumbled into their village caused them to adapt those philosophies to their own teachings, further pacifiying them. They are not, however, afraid to fight. While not everyone knows how to fight, Ikikesan fighters are hardy through training sessions that have them out in the desert for long hours, hours of meditation in the baking sun, and the reflection that a fighter must be 'like the stone around them'. While they do not posess the innate drive to constantly fight like the Saiyans, they do posess a drive to defend, though after many decades, possibly centuries, of hiding, this drive has hidden, though in some youth such as Sansho Wuko, this drive has reappeared in full force. They are kind to visitors, but do not share with strangers what they are, and do not welcome strangers to stay long-term in their desert village, only allowing them to be guests for short periods of time. They are surprisingly reclusive, and prefer to just pretend to be humans instead of risking facing either persecution or discrimination. A peculiarity of the Ikikesa is arranged marriages. In order to keep the bloodlines strong, the Ikikesa take careful consideration and arrange marriages between the families to keep the blood pure, and to prevent the need for humans to breed with. There are few 'love marriages', and it is considered strange to even think of marriage as based on 'love' rather then the survival of the species. Most Ikikesa suffered no major side effects from the destruction of the planet, beyond a brief depression and a severe disorientation. As of yet, the only Ikikesan to show any major side effects of the Earth's destruction in Age 774 was the fighter 'Pepper', who later became Sansho Wuko and Sansho Kakiri after the destruction shattered her mind. It is speculated that this was because of her age, as well as just extreme bad luck. Posessing the ability to manipulate ki, the Ikikesa are able to use energy blasts. Unlike most races, however, Ikikesa do not seem to posess the knowledge of how to fly, and instead seem to focus their ki to allow them to move quickly. An Ikikesan is remarkably fast on the ground. One of the fastest Ikikesans to date is Sansho Wuko/Kakiri, who, even as a child, was able to cross the desert in mere minutes, though she did end up kicking up a great deal of sand in the process and accidentally created a sandstorm. To avoid hitting objects, Ikikesans use their ki to heighten their eyesight and reaction time. A normal human processes around thirty frames per second. An Ikikesan on a regular basis processes up to fifty frames per second, and can process up to seventy frames per second while running, allowing them to avoid hitting obstacles while running. Sansho Wuko/Kakiri has been known to process up to one hundred frames per second, possibly more, while at her top speeds. Their speed even allows them to run across bodies of water, though they tire much faster over water then over earth. |
B i o g r a p h y Born in Age 758 in the Ikikesa colony out in the desert, very little is known about her childhood. What is known is that from a young age, she began to train in martial arts, specifically judo and tae kwon do, and bojutsu, or staffwork. She was raised under Buddhist ideals, and was reputed to be one of the fastest Ikikesans in the colony, able to cross the desert with ease. As a child, she was a troublemaker, and would often climb nearby cliffs, mountains, or even just get lost in the desert. At age fifteen her marriage was decided, and on the eve of her wedding night, she snuck out and ran away. A year later, she appeared at the World Tournament 25, under the alias of 'Pepper'. This was the first tournament that preliminary rounds were cast aside and the new punching machines were used. When told she was to punch the machine, Pepper poked it curiously, hard enough to offset the machine. The machine registered the poke and, despite her freak-out and the obvious mistake, she was disqualified and forced to sit on the sidelines, watching the fights. After the tournament, she appeared to disappear again, and was in West City when the world was destroyed by Kid Buu. In the brief second before she was completely obliterated, her mind was torn apart by the disruption of the gaian energies. (It is speculated that her higher reaction time then most humans, Ikikesa, and even Saiyans, was partially behind the cause of her mind shattering.) When the earth was wished back to life, she was restored as well. At first, she wandered the earth, weakened, child-like, and suffering strange blackouts. As she grew stronger, she began to learn that her blackouts weren't normal. She would wake up in different places, and some people would react differently to her. Her mentality, forced to a child-like state, could not make the connection until the day that she woke up, blood on her hands, and another voice in her head. From then one, it was a war between the two halves of the mind. Innocent, child-like Wuko, and sadistic, broken Kakiri. In order to keep herself from hurting people, Wuko often disappears into the wilderness, and hides away from people. She has, however, returned to civilization for the tournaments. In Age 778 in Tournament 26, at age 20, Wuko correctly performed the punching test, and was one of the combatants. She lost in the quarter-finals, however, when her opponent tricked her and used grease on her boots, causing her to fall out of the rink. In Age 781 in Tournament 27, it was 23-year-old Kakiri who entered the contest, and who fought viciously, leaving her opponents brutalized before Mr. Buu won against her in the semi-finals. And of recently, in Age 784 at age 26, Wuko returned after training extensively, ready to fight and win. Due to Goku and Uub departing, the tournament was cancelled, leaving a very disappointed and slumped-shouldered Wuko on the sidelines, groaning. After the tournament was cancelled, Sansho Wuko took to hanging out, wandering around West City again. |
