Character Races within Dragonball Underworld

There are various races that you may choose from when creating a lovely person to join the world of Dragonball Underworld, most are canon but there is the odd custom race. Please be sure that you are aware of the differences in the alien races to a normal human.

Android

Originally made by Dr. Gero, androids are cyborg humans or purely robotic machines (no one gets to be like Cell). Androids have two different possible energy sources. The first is unlimited energy with no drawbacks, such as android 18. The second requires the android to take from other energy sources (usually from people) in order to keep their own power supply from running out. Androids, being robotic, have no aura and therefore cannot be sensed by Ki sensing or by the Scouters.

Anthropomorphic Animal

This generalized race consists of animals that contain human characteristics (personification anyone, no? okay) and that generally are capable of rational thinking and speech. They are fairly common throughout the Dragon Ball universe and are widely accepted as normal within society. Not all anthropomorphic animals are capable of speech; some merely understand it and have human reactions. In almost every case of a true anthropomorphic animal, they have a human-like appearance by walking on two legs and wearing clothing.

Arlian

They're extinct. Due to this. It's highly doubtful any escaped, but go ahead and make a talking bug if you really think you must.

Demon

Demons come in all shapes and sizes, as well as on different sides of the good/evil spectrum. The stereotypical demon within the Dragon Ball universe is large, ugly, and a totally beeyotch to talk to. However, not all demons are such.

Gira

Not much is known about the Gira. They are pterodactyl-like dinosaurs with a special ability to create something called Merry-Go-Round gum. Merry-Go-Round gum is a sticky substance that the race can create, shooting it out of their mouth to fly around a person or cause a blockage in the river. If it wraps around a person, it becomes akin to a straight jacket. The more a person struggles with the gum on them, the tighter the straight jacket becomes. The only way to break it is with absolute brute strength.

Human

…Not even going to bother.

Hybrid

To be a hybrid is to be half one thing and half another. All the children of the Saiyan-Human pairings on Earth are hybrids, half-Human and half-Saiyanjin.

Ice-jin

The race of which the terrible villain Frieza belongs to. They come in all shapes and sizes, tailed and usually pink or purple skinned with different coloured sections on their bodies. Their name structure is generally derived from negative temperatures, such as Frieza and Cooler. Though their planet is never named, it is a common conception that they are an untrusting race employed (most likely run) the World Trade Organization. An energy capable race, their transformations to a new form increase their power level causing many to believe that they must in order to contain the energy provided.

Kanassan

A race of fish-like people that had psychic abilities and were therefore wiped out by Bardock and his manly men on Frieza's orders. Good luck finding a reason for one to be off planet.

Komugiko

A custom race mentioned in the Ikikesan Reference Guide, created by Pepper.

A sentient race of lizardmen that resided on Planet Spice alongside the Ikikesans. After the purging of the planet approximately thirty years ago, a handful of this race managed to escape, either to settle on Earth or in unknown parts. Komugikos are a highly technological race that was were taught the art of Druidism from the Ikikesans, resulting in a rather interesting mix.

Majin

The original Majin is Majin Buu, who was created by the wizard Bibidi 5 million years before Age. Majin Buu is the only Majin to this date.

Namekian

Yoshi.

Ogre

A race that takes care of Other World under orders of King Yemma. They do not lie, due to the fact that they risk having their tongues removed by said King. They vary in height and colour, but all share the same diet of fruit and most are blue with black hair with one horn.

Anything not listed here. If it's a custom race, you have to PM the staff to ask permission beforehand.

Saiyan || Saiya-jin

Really, there are only eight pureblood Saiyans who escaped from the destruction of their planet due to Frieza. These eight are; Kakarot (Goku), Vegeta, Nappa, Radditz, Broly, Turles, Paragus, and Tarble. However, that does not account for the various killings of the surviving race and tiny civil wars that have occurred between these eight, nor does it account for reviving.

All of the Saiyans have a human appearance, except for the fact that they have monkey-like tails and a much larger build. The hair of a pureblood does not deviate from the way it was when they were born though it can fall off. Saiyans more often than not have dark hair, though there are rare cases when it is brown, blue, and blonde. Their eyes are always dark, though half-breeds can deviate.

Super strong epicness monkeys. Apparently the more diluted the blood, the easier it is to turn the elite race of "Super Saiyan" to a child's game.

Shin-jin

A very confusing race, of which all Kai, Kaioshin, and Makaioshin are directly related from. The Shin-jin are born from magical fruits that grow off of the Kaiju trees. The average Shin-jin possesses special abilities that far surpass that of any sort of un-trained normal being. The Shin-jin are genderless, and their average life expectancy is said to be 75,000 years, however the Shin-jin born from golden magical fruits, who all later become Kaioshin, can live for millions upon millions of years.

They live leisurely lives, studying various things at a school-like castle. But whenever one of the Kai on the Kai Planets passes away, they draw lots among themselves to choose who will take that Kai's place and become the new Kai. The Supreme Kais, however, are chosen only from among Shin-jin born from a special golden fruit that is particularly rare.

The Makaioshin ("Gods of the Kings of the Demon Realm") are Shin-jin who are born evil and thus cast into the Demon Realm (the bottom tip of the cosmos) where they are secluded from civilizations.


Tuffle

The Saiyan race eliminated them all, except for one remaining Tuffle and one half-breed. They were a highly technologically advanced race that was very docile with no aggressive tendencies. However, the Saiyan-Tuffle war changed everything and caused the Saiyans to look down on Tuffles as their 'slaves' for having won the war.
